The Common Dolphin is one of the most beautifully coloured dolphins. Their body size is 1.7- 2.4 m, and their weight is 75kg max. Newborns are only about 0.8 m long.
They feed on squid, fish and krill. The common dolphin has a long beak, a streamlined body, a distinctive fin and pointed flippers. It is a beautiful animal, with an hour-glass pattern on its sides. They are curious and fast swimmers, and enjoy riding in the bow waves of boats and ships. Sometimes you can hear their clicks and whistles above the water. They can dive up to 8 min.; however their usual diving interval is 1-2 min.
