Bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales, Atlantic spotted dolphins, rough-toothed dolphin
In September 2022 we encountered four different species of whales and dolphins on our responsible whale watching tours off La Gomera.
The following species were observed on our tours in September:
- bottlenose dolphin
- pilot whale
- Atlantic spotted dolphin
- rough-toothed dolphin
In September we mainly encountered species on our tours that we see more frequently: the bottlenose dolphin, pilot whale and the Atlantic spotted dolphin. On one tour we saw a single injured rough-toothed dolphin, which was a rather sad encounter.
For a fortnight, participants of the internship course of our partner M.E.E.R. e.V. were on board and were able to explore and document the behaviour of the whales and dolphins during their tours.
