Pilot whales, Bottlenose dolphins, Spotted dolphins, Common dolphins
We have recently seen the following whale and dolphin species on our whale watching tours off La Gomera:
- Pilot whales (Indian pilot whales)
- Bottlenose dolphins
- Atlantic spotted dolphin
- Common dolphins
After a long time, a school of common dolphins visited us again. As always, the spotted dolphins also showed their best side. Jumping, curious and on two tours we even met what felt like hundreds of them! It was like a big party!
We were also able to meet the pilot whales, but they seemed less sociable over the last few days. The bottlenose dolphins also behaved rather cautiously most of the time.
The sighting rate for this period was 86%.
