Striped dolphin, Atlantic spotted dolphin, Pilot whales, Bottlenose dolphins
We have recently seen the following whale and dolphin species on our whale watching tours off La Gomera:
- Striped dolphin
- Atlantic spotted dolphin
- Pilot whales (Short-finned pilot whales)
- Bottlenose dolphins
As always, the sea provided exciting and surprising moments.
Between days and moments of rough and adverse weather conditions, the ocean conjured up a few hours of almost mirror-smooth seas.
We were greeted by striped dolphins and spotted dolphins swimming curiously alongside and in front of our boat. We watched as calves stayed close to their mothers’ sides and did their best to get a closer look at us.
Pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins also provided us with some wonderful moments.
The sighting rate for this period is 100%.
