Baleen whales, Beaked whales, Pilot whales, Bottlenose dolphins, Loggerhead sea turtles
We have recently seen the following whale and dolphin species on our whale watching tours off La Gomera:
- Baleen whales (unidentified)
- Beaked whales (unidentified)
- Pilot whales (Short-finned pilot whales)
- Bottlenose dolphins
Our first sighting of large whales this year! And what a start: we were able to marvel at three at once.
The sight of beaked whales with their young, gliding calmly and majestically through the water, was particularly touching.
Unfortunately, we were unable to identify both species precisely.
Our beloved bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales also made an appearance again and gave us some special moments.
The sighting rate for this period is 100%.
