Valle Gran Rey / La Gomera Sighting 15 March 2020: Atlantic spotted dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Rough-toothed dolphins and Pilot whales.
During today’s whale watching tour with the Oceano 5 we saw four different species of dolphins off the coast of Valle Gran Rey. First we saw a pod of Atlantic spotted dolphins that accompanied us for a while alongside the boat.
Shortly after, Rough-toothed dolphins appeared and we were able to observe the rare visitors for a moment before they quickly swam away again. At the end of the tour we saw Pilot whales, a kindergarten group with young animals, and a few Bottlenose dolphins.
